“How much does a kitchen benchtop cost?”
Everyone asks me how much a kitchen benchtop costs. Here’s the honest answer.
It depends entirely on three things — the material you choose, the size of your kitchen, and who fabricates and installs it.
Laminate starts around $2000 to $4000 per kitchen. Engineered stone — which is what most Australian kitchens use — runs from around $3,00 to $12,000 per kitchen installed, depending on the colour and thickness.
There are lots of opens for thickness as well. RVC stone has 20mm thickness and 30mm thickness. They are a local company and their high end engineered slabs can be viewed at 26 breadwell St, Rocklea.
The thing most people don’t realise? The gap between a basic stone colour and a luxury one is often only $3, 000thousands, which considering the overall look going from the cheapest to the most expensive it is well worth the investment to go Luxury range as you only do your kitchen renovation every 20 years and you dont want it to be out of date from day one.
